If the Breez Plus is using a generic code set for your brand (e.g., a generic Daikin or LG profile) instead of the exact model-specific profile, it may send a signal that the AC ignores or interprets as a request to remain in "Auto" mode. Furthermore, this is often caused by "Mode Locking." Many modern inverter AC units are programmed to override manual fan settings when the device is set to 'Dry' mode or 'Eco/Energy Saver' mode. In these states, the AC's internal logic dictates that the fan must remain on Auto to maintain the specific dehumidification or energy-saving parameters. If the Breez Plus is attempting to send a "High Fan" command while the AC is in 'Dry' mode, the AC will simply ignore the command, leaving the fan on Auto. You can confirm this by attempting to change the fan speed using the original physical remote; if the physical remote also fails to change the speed, the issue is the AC mode, not the Cielo device.
How to Fix It
To resolve the fan control issue, you must first eliminate mode restrictions and then synchronize the IR profile. Follow these exact steps:
- Open the Cielo Home app on your smartphone and select your Breez Plus device from the dashboard.
- Change the operating mode to 'Cool' or 'Fan'. Ensure it is NOT set to 'Dry', 'Auto', or 'Eco'. Wait 10 seconds for the AC to register the mode change.
- Navigate to the 'Fan' section of the app interface. Attempt to toggle between 'Low', 'Med', and 'High'. If the AC responds, the issue was Mode Locking.
- If the fan still stays on Auto, go to the main screen and tap the 'Settings' gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select 'AC Settings' and then 'Change AC Brand/Model'.
- Instead of selecting the generic brand, use the search bar to enter your AC's specific model number (found on the sticker on the side of the indoor unit).

If That Didn't Work

- Hard Reset the AC: Power cycle your AC unit at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds. This clears the AC's internal logic board and forces it to accept new IR inputs from the Breez Plus without relying on cached "Auto" settings.
