The failure of the Cielo Breez Plus to trigger a scheduled "Turn On" event is typically rooted in a state-sync mismatch between the Breez Plus and your AC unit's internal logic. The Breez Plus does not physically press buttons; it mimics the infrared (IR) signals of your original remote. If someone manually turns off the AC using the physical remote or the unit's chassis buttons, the Breez Plus "believes" the AC is still on. When the scheduled time arrives, the controller sends a "Maintain State" or "Set Temp" command rather than a "Power On" command, because its internal software state is out of sync with the actual hardware state of the AC. Additionally, this issue often stems from a "Cloud Polling" failure. If the Breez Plus loses its handshake with the Cielo servers due to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi interference or a DHCP lease expiration on your router, the scheduled trigger—which is processed in the cloud—never reaches the local device. You can confirm this by checking the device LED; if the Wi-Fi indicator is blinking or red, the device is offline and cannot receive the trigger signal from the Cielo Home app servers.
How to Fix It
To resolve the scheduling failure and synchronize your device, follow these exact steps:
- Open the Cielo Home app and navigate to the Schedules tab. Locate the specific trigger that is failing. Ensure the toggle switch for that specific event is slid to the right and highlighted in green.
- Verify the "Action" within the schedule. Ensure it is explicitly set to "Turn On" and not just "Set Temperature." If it is set to a temperature without a power command, the AC will remain off.
- Perform a Hard State Reset: Use the physical remote that came with your AC to turn the unit OFF. Then, use the Cielo Home app to turn the unit OFF again. This forces the Breez Plus to register the "Off" state in its memory.
- Power cycle the Breez Plus hardware. Unplug the USB power cable from the back of the unit, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in. Wait for the Wi-Fi icon to stop flashing and turn solid.
- Test the schedule by creating a "Test Schedule" for 2 minutes from the current time. If the AC triggers, the synchronization is restored.
If That Didn't Work
- Check IR Line-of-Sight: Ensure the Breez Plus is not blocked by curtains, furniture, or decorations. The IR emitter must have a clear path to the AC's receiver. Log into your router settings and create a dedicated 2.4GHz Guest Network specifically for the Breez Plus.
- Re-Pair the AC Model: If the IR codes are slightly mismatched, the "On" command may fail. In the app, go to Device Settings and re-select your AC brand and model. If your specific model isn't listed, use the "Learning Mode" to manually teach the Breez Plus the "Power" button signal from your original remote.
- Clear App Cache: On Android devices, go to Settings > Apps > Cielo Home > Storage and clear the cache. On iOS, force-close the app and restart the phone. This clears any ghost schedules that may be conflicting with your current settings.

- Avoid Manual Overrides: Never use the original AC remote to turn the unit off if you want the Breez Plus schedules to remain reliable. Always use the app or the Breez Plus physical buttons to maintain state synchronization.
- Power Stability: Use the original power adapter provided with the Breez Plus. Using a third-party USB cube with low amperage (less than 1A) can cause the Wi-Fi chip to brown out, leading to missed schedules.
