Diagnosis
Mild warmth is normal. The Breez Plus contains a small computer that generates heat. Excessive heat indicates a ventilation problem or potential fault.
How to Fix It
First, ensure proper installation. The unit must be plugged into a vertical wall outlet. Do not use a loose power strip or an outlet behind furniture. There must be at least 4 inches of clear space above and around the side vents for airflow. Second, check the ambient temperature. If the room is above 95°F (35°C), the device will run hotter. Third, touch-test. It should be warm, not hot enough to cause discomfort or a burning sensation within 2 seconds of contact.
If That Didn't Work
If it is excessively hot and the display shows erratic behavior, unplug it immediately. A faulty power adapter or internal component can overheat. Let it cool for one hour. Plug it into a different, known-good wall outlet. If the overheating repeats, discontinue use and contact support.
Heads Up
Never place objects on top of the Breez Plus. Do not install it in direct sunlight. The operating temperature range is 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C). Sustained operation at the high end of this range will cause noticeable heat.
