Mineral buildup is ongoing, especially in hard water areas. The system detects more scale and is telling you to run another cycle on a different mode.
The brewer tracks scale separately for Grounds, Pods, and Hot Water modes. You need to clean the mode you use most often.
- If you primarily brew with grounds, run the clean cycle on Grounds mode with the Sliding Lid closed.
- If you primarily use pods, ensure the Ninja Pod Adapter is installed and run the clean cycle on Pods mode.
- If you use Hot Water mode at all, run an additional clean cycle in Hot Water mode.
Procedure: Use white vinegar or a descaling solution. Fill reservoir to 16 oz with vinegar, top with water to Full line. Press CLEAN, then START BREW. It takes 75 minutes. Do not remove the carafe during the cycle.
If you ignore the light, the brewer will eventually stop mid-brew and display "CLn," forcing a clean.
