Diagnosis
The brew unit is either clogged with compacted coffee oils/powder or its mechanism is stuck, preventing proper pre-infusion and pressure during extraction.
How to Fix It
Remove and manually clean the brew unit.
1. Put a large container under the coffee spout.
2. On the main menu, select 'Cleaning' then 'Brew Unit'. The machine will move the unit to the removal position.
3. Pull the brew unit straight out.
4. Rinse it thoroughly under warm water and use a soft brush to remove all residue. Let it air dry completely before reinserting.
If That Didn't Work
The internal coffee chute from grinder to brew unit might be clogged. Run several cycles with just water, then run a cleaning cycle with a tablet to dissolve buildup in the internal pipes.
Heads Up
Never lubricate the brew unit with anything. Reinsert it only when completely dry. Forcing it can break the plastic guides.
