DIAGNOSIS The travel limit settings are incorrect. The opener thinks the door has completed its cycle. This often happens after a manual operation or a power surge.
FIX You need to reset the open and close limits. On the wall console, press and hold the black Program button until the light blinks. Release. Immediately press and hold the Door button. The door will move. Release the button the moment the door reaches the fully OPEN position. The console will beep. Now press and hold the Door button again. Release it the moment the door reaches the fully CLOSED position. The console will beep twice.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The force settings may be too low. With the door closed, locate the force adjustment knobs on the side of the motor unit. Turn the DOWN force knob clockwise one-quarter turn. Test. Increase slightly if needed, but stop if the door does not reverse on a 1.5-inch block test.
HEADS UP Always perform the safety reversal test after adjusting limits or force. Place a 2x4 block on the floor under the center of the door. On close, the door must reverse within 2 seconds of contacting the block.
