DIAGNOSIS The wall console has lost power. The most likely cause is the AC power adapter plug has come loose from the outlet or the unit's power terminal block.
FIX First, check the white power adapter plugged into the standard outlet. Make sure it's fully seated. Then, go to the opener unit in the garage. Locate the red power terminal block on the motor unit logic board. Firmly press the white adapter plug into this red block. You should hear a click and the wall console lights will illuminate immediately.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The AC power adapter itself may have failed. Unplug it from the wall and from the opener. Check the cord for damage. Try a different, standard 120V outlet. If the wall console still has no lights, you need a new Genie Power Adapter (part # 30812T).
HEADS UP Never bypass the red power terminal block by wiring directly. It contains a fuse for surge protection. The opener will not run on battery backup if the AC power is disconnected.
