DIAGNOSIS This is a heat distribution issue. The top heating element is overpowering the bottom air circulation. Using the top rack position exacerbates this.
FIX First, always use the middle rack position for air frying. Second, do not overload the basket. Food must be in a single layer with space between pieces. Third, for longer cook times, manually pause the cycle at the halfway point. Shake the basket or flip the food.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The rear convection fan may be underperforming. Check that the rear filter and vents are not clogged with grease or dust, restricting airflow.
HEADS UP The 'Air Fry' function uses both top and bottom heating elements plus the fan. For delicate items, consider the 'Bake' function at a lower temperature, which primarily uses the bottom element.
