how do i clean the silonn slim01? the manual says to descale but i don't see how to run a cleaning cycle

DIAGNOSIS There is no dedicated 'clean' button. You manually initiate the cleaning process by powering on with a specific solution in the tank.

FIX For regular descaling:

1. Unplug the unit and empty the ice basket and water reservoir completely.
2. Fill the reservoir to MAX with a mix of 16 oz (2 cups) of white vinegar and the rest warm water.
3. Plug the unit in and press Power. Let it run a full cycle until the vinegar solution has been pumped through and it attempts to make ice (which you will discard).
4. Unplug, empty the reservoir, and rinse it thoroughly. Refill with clean cold water and run 2-3 cycles to flush out any vinegar residue. Discard all ice from these flush cycles.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If you see persistent scale flakes or slime, the internal water lines may be clogged. Use a commercial ice maker cleaner (like Frigidaire or Keurig brand) following its bottle instructions instead of vinegar for a stronger clean.

HEADS UP Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners. They will damage the plastic and silicone parts and leave unsafe residues. Clean every 2-4 weeks depending on your water hardness.
