DIAGNOSIS The L6 or 6 error is a communication fault between the main unit and the lid. The lid sensor cannot confirm the lid is properly closed.
FIX 1. Unplug the base for 2 minutes. 2. Plug it back in. 3. Ensure the metal alignment pin on the lid is clean and undamaged. 4. Align the arrow on the lid with the unlock symbol on the base. 5. Close the lid by turning it clockwise until the float valve rises. 6. Try a simple program like Steam for 1 minute.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the silicone sealing ring. Remove it and ensure it is fully seated in its groove in the lid, not pinched or twisted. A misaligned ring can prevent the lid sensor from engaging.
HEADS UP Do not attempt to run the pot with this error. The unit will not heat. This is solely a lid detection issue, not a heating element failure.
