is it safe for my ge profile dishwasher to be connected to the same faucet as a pull-out sprayer?

— asked by David

No. It's a risk for cross-connection and contamination.

FIX: The faucet adapter for your portable dishwasher must be installed on its own dedicated faucet spout. Do not use a Y-connector or try to install it on the same faucet as a pull-out spray hose.

PROCEDURE: If you have a pull-out sprayer, disconnect the hose and put a cap on the opening. Then install the dishwasher's faucet adapter directly onto the faucet threads.

HEADS UP: The faucet adapter must be mounted on the sink faucet before you can use the dishwasher. Always use the thin washer inside the adapter and tighten it with pliers for a secure, leak-free connection.
