it won't connect to my wifi during setup, just spins forever on the app.

Quick answer: DIAGNOSIS: Almost always a 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz network issue, or special characters in the WiFi password.

DIAGNOSIS: Almost always a 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz network issue, or special characters in the WiFi password. The X2 Omni only works on 2.4GHz networks.

FIX: Ensure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi band, not 5GHz. Many routers combine them under one name; you may need to temporarily disable the 5GHz band in your router settings. During setup, type your WiFi password manually instead of using auto-fill, and avoid any punctuation besides letters and numbers.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The robot is too far from the router during setup. Bring the robot and your phone right next to your WiFi router. Restart your router. Also, temporarily disable any VPN or ad-blocker on your phone.

HEADS UP: Once set up, the robot uses the 2.4GHz network for commands and the 5GHz band (if available) for faster map data. But initial setup is 2.4GHz only.
