DIAGNOSIS A complete lack of power points to an internal electrical failure, a tripped thermal fuse, or a problem with the lid switch circuit (which controls power).
FIX 1) Unplug the washer and wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in firmly. Sometimes the control board just needs a hard reset. 2) With the machine plugged in, open and close the lid firmly several times while listening for a faint click from the lid lock mechanism. No click might mean a failed lid switch is killing all power. 3) Check the power cord where it enters the machine for any damage or loose connections.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK There's a thermal fuse on the main control board that can blow if the washer overheats. It's a one-time fuse, and if it's blown, the board gets no power. Testing or replacing this requires removing the console and some basic multimeter skills. A blown thermal fuse often indicates another problem that caused overheating.
HEADS UP Before you dive into internal components, double-check that the wall outlet is truly live by plugging in a lamp or phone charger. Also, ensure no other appliance on the same circuit (like a fridge) has tripped a household breaker. It sounds obvious, but it's the most common fix.
