DIAGNOSIS That's a lid lock error. The washer's safety system isn't detecting that the lid is properly locked, so it won't let the cycle begin.
FIX First, unplug the washer for one minute. Plug it back in and try a cycle. If the error persists, check the lid lock mechanism itself. Open the lid and look at the front right side of the opening. You'll see a small plastic latch. Make sure it moves freely and isn't broken. Gently clean any lint or debris from around it. Close the lid firmly—you should hear a distinct click.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The lid lock switch assembly might have failed. It's a known wear part. You can test it by manually pushing the lock pin with the lid open (unplugged, of course) to see if it feels stuck. Replacement is straightforward, but requires removing the top panel.
HEADS UP Never try to bypass the lid lock. The washer won't spin with the lid open, and forcing it can damage the main control board, which is a much more expensive fix.
