my bluevua ropot's tds reading on the screen is high, like 100+ on the OUT side, isn't it supposed to be lower?

— asked by Jordan

An OUT TDS reading continuously increasing above expected range is typically caused by TDS creep from idle time or reused RO reject water.

  1. Discard all water in the tank. This is RO reject water containing contaminants.
  2. Refill the tank with new tap water to the MAX line.
  3. Perform a manual backflush. Press the water volume and water-making buttons simultaneously for 1 minute.
  4. Run a new filtration cycle. The OUT TDS should stabilize after a few minutes.

If the high OUT TDS persists, your filters may be expired. Replace them and reset the filter lifespan indicators. The system ensures a 90-95% TDS reduction. With an IN TDS of 300, the OUT TDS should be 15-30.

Do not reuse RO reject water. This causes contaminant accumulation and permanently elevates TDS readings.
