An OUT TDS reading continuously increasing above expected range is typically caused by TDS creep from idle time or reused RO reject water.
- Discard all water in the tank. This is RO reject water containing contaminants.
- Refill the tank with new tap water to the MAX line.
- Perform a manual backflush. Press the water volume and water-making buttons simultaneously for 1 minute.
- Run a new filtration cycle. The OUT TDS should stabilize after a few minutes.
If the high OUT TDS persists, your filters may be expired. Replace them and reset the filter lifespan indicators. The system ensures a 90-95% TDS reduction. With an IN TDS of 300, the OUT TDS should be 15-30.
Do not reuse RO reject water. This causes contaminant accumulation and permanently elevates TDS readings.
