Diagnosis
A blank display on your Cosori 6QT pressure cooker indicates a complete lack of power reaching the main control board. The most common causes are a simple break in the power circuit, such as a loose plug or a faulty outlet. Less commonly, an internal component like a thermal fuse may have blown due to a power surge or an overheating event.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the unit. Inspect the power cord and the cooker's plug connector for any visible damage, burns, or bent pins.
- Firmly reconnect the cord to the cooker and plug it into a known-working wall outlet. Ensure the plug is fully inserted at both ends.
- Press the power button. If the display lights up, the issue was a poor connection.
- If still blank, try a different outlet on a separate circuit to rule out a tripped GFCI or a faulty socket.
If That Didn't Work
If a different outlet doesn't work, the problem is internal. The unit has an internal thermal fuse for safety that can blow. Do not attempt to open the sealed base housing yourself, as this is hazardous and voids the warranty. Your next step is to contact Cosori Customer Support directly with your model number (usually CP158-AF or similar, found on the bottom label) to discuss troubleshooting and potential repair or replacement options.
Heads Up
Never operate the pressure cooker if the cord or plug is damaged, hot to the touch, or sparks. Always ensure the inner pot is correctly seated before attempting to power on the unit, as a missing pot can sometimes prevent activation.
