Diagnosis
The ignition system is producing a spark, but gas is not reaching the burner tubes. The most common cause is a closed safety valve on the propane tank or an empty tank.
How to Fix It
First, verify the propane tank is not empty. Turn the tank valve off completely. Disconnect the regulator hose from the tank. Wait 60 seconds. Reconnect the hose, ensuring it clicks securely. Open the tank valve slowly, one full rotation. Turn a burner knob to HIGH and press the igniter. The grill should light.
If That Didn't Work
The problem may be a tripped safety mechanism in the regulator. With the tank valve closed, disconnect the regulator hose. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, depress the regulator's center pin briefly. Reconnect the hose and slowly open the tank valve. Attempt ignition again.
Heads Up
Never open the tank valve before connecting the regulator. This can lock the safety mechanism. Always follow the sequence: connect hose, then open valve slowly.
