Diagnosis
Yeah, this one’s common. The door switch or sensor for the fresh food doors (the big ones) is faulty or misaligned. The fridge thinks a door is ajar, and after a few minutes, it starts beeping to tell you.
How to Fix It
First, check for actual obstruction. Wipe down the door gaskets and make sure no food packages or bins are keeping a door from sealing. Then, try pressing firmly on each fresh food door, right near the handle and down by the hinge. If the alarm stops when you press on a specific spot, the switch behind that spot is the issue.
If That Didn't Work
The door switch is part of the door assembly. You can try to adjust the door alignment by loosening the hinge screws slightly, repositioning the door, and retightening. If the switch itself is bad, it requires replacing the entire door wiring harness, which is a more involved repair.
Heads Up
The ‘Control Lock’ feature on the display won’t stop the door alarm. That only locks the panel buttons. You need to find and fix the actual door signal.
