The "END" message on your Ninja AF101 is a simple countdown notification. It indicates that the timer you manually programmed has reached zero; it is not a smart sensor that detects whether your food is actually cooked through. This often happens if the initial time estimate for a recipe was too short or if you are cooking a larger volume of food that requires more time to reach the desired temperature.
How to Fix It
To continue cooking your food, follow these steps:
- Open the fryer basket to check the current progress of your food.
- While the unit is still powered on, use the TIME buttons (up or down arrows) to add additional minutes to the clock.
- Press the START/PAUSE button to resume the heating and fan process.
- Close the basket securely and allow the additional time to elapse.
If That Didn't Work
If the display has gone blank or the unit has completely shut down, the AF101 may have entered its automatic standby mode. To recover:
- Press the POWER button to wake the unit.
- Reselect your desired function (e.g., Air Fry, Roast, or Reheat) and set the temperature.
- Set a new time duration and press START/PAUSE.
- If the unit refuses to heat despite the timer running, ensure the basket is pushed fully into the unit, as the safety switch will prevent heating if the drawer is slightly ajar.
