Diagnosis
Your Ninja Foodi DualZone Air Fryer is tripping the breaker because it's a high-wattage appliance. At 1690 watts, it draws approximately 14.1 amps on startup, which is very close to the 15-amp limit of a standard kitchen circuit. If anything else is on that same circuit—even a light bulb or phone charger—the combined load exceeds the breaker's capacity, causing it to trip for safety.
How to Fix It
You must ensure the air fryer is the only device operating on a dedicated 15-amp circuit.
- Identify the correct outlet. Unplug everything else (toaster, coffee maker, microwave, etc.) from all outlets on the same wall and possibly adjacent walls in your kitchen.
- Plug only the Ninja Foodi into the outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cord.
- Run the appliance. If it works without tripping the breaker, you've found the solution: this must be its dedicated outlet during use.
If That Didn't Work
The circuit may be shared with other rooms or be a lower-capacity circuit. Try these steps:
- Test the air fryer in a bathroom, laundry room, or garage outlet on a known 20-amp circuit (these often have a "T-slot" on one prong).
- If it trips even on a dedicated 20-amp circuit, the appliance's heating element or internal wiring may have a short. Contact Ninja Customer Support for warranty service.
- As a last resort, have a licensed electrician evaluate your kitchen wiring. They can install a dedicated circuit for high-power appliances.

Never use an extension cord or attempt to replace the breaker with a higher-amp model. This is a major fire hazard. The breaker is doing its job by tripping to prevent overheating in your home's wiring.
