If you feel very little air moving or if the air coming from the back is lukewarm while the metal is scorching, you have a restricted airflow or a dirty condenser. If the back is hot but the beverages inside are not cold, the refrigerant may have leaked or the compressor is failing. However, if the drinks are cold but the back is hot, the system is simply working overtime to fight through a layer of debris on the coils.
How to Fix It
To resolve the overheating issue, you must perform a deep clean of the condenser system and optimize the unit's placement. Follow these exact steps:
- Unplug the Honeywell H115Bcs from the wall outlet to prevent electrical shock and allow the compressor to cool for at least 30 minutes.
