Diagnosis
The basket isn't seating fully because the food load is too large or bulky, or the food items are improperly positioned. The Cosori Turboblaze's basket must click securely into the main unit for the appliance to operate correctly and safely. An overfilled or misarranged basket can hit the upper heating element, creating a physical blockage and preventing insertion.
How to Fix It
- Remove the basket and empty all food.
- Reinsert the empty basket to confirm it slides and locks in place smoothly, verifying no physical damage is causing the obstruction.
- Reload the basket, ensuring you do not exceed the recommended fill line and that no large items (like whole potatoes or chicken breasts) are protruding above the basket's top rim.
- For optimal air flow, arrange food in a single, even layer without piling or heaping. Do not pack food tightly.
- Carefully guide the reloaded basket back into the unit. It should slide in completely and lock with a distinct click.
If That Didn't Work
If the empty basket still won't insert, inspect for a foreign object (like a bone fragment or piece of hardened food) lodged in the track or around the heating element inside the main unit. Also check the basket's outer mesh and handle for any bends or damage that could catch on the fryer's interior. Clean the basket tracks and the interior of the air fryer cavity with a damp cloth to remove any grease or debris buildup causing friction.

Forcing the basket can damage the basket handle, warp the coating, or bend the internal heating element. Never operate the air fryer if the basket does not seat fully and securely, as this can lead to unsafe operation, undercooked food, and potential fire risk from food contacting the heating element.
