DIAGNOSIS A blank display with the unit plugged in points to a power supply issue, not a display failure. The internal fuse may be blown or the outlet is faulty.
FIX Follow this power check sequence. 1. Verify the power cord is fully inserted into the unit's rear socket. 2. Test the wall outlet with another device. 3. Try a different outlet. 4. Unplug the unit, wait 2 minutes, then plug it back in. If the display remains blank, check the replaceable fuse. 5. Unplug. Locate the fuse holder near where the power cord enters the unit. 6. Use a flathead to open the holder. The fuse is a 250V, 15A, 5x20mm glass cartridge type. Test it with a multimeter for continuity.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the outlet is good and the fuse is intact, the internal power supply board has failed. This requires professional repair or replacement.
HEADS UP Only replace the fuse with an identical specification (250V 15A). Using a higher-rated fuse is a fire hazard.
