Diagnosis
The dock is detecting a charging error. A solid red light indicates a fault, not a charging state. The sock is not receiving power.
How to Fix It
Inspect the magnetic charging port on the bottom of the Dream Sock. Use a dry cotton swab to clean any lint, debris, or moisture. Align the sock precisely on the dock; the magnets should snap into place with a distinct click. Ensure the white USB-C cable is fully inserted into the back of the dock. Try a different USB power adapter that provides at least 5V/2A. The fault is often triggered by insufficient or unstable power from the source adapter.
If That Didn't Work
The dock's internal thermal fuse may have tripped due to overheating. Unplug everything and let the dock and sock sit for 30 minutes to cool to room temperature. Reconnect. If the light remains solid red, the dock is likely defective. The red light is a terminal error code for the dock itself, not the sock.
Heads Up
Do not leave the sock on a solid red dock for extended periods. It indicates a failed handshake that can damage the sock's battery. If cleaning and a known-good power source do not resolve it, the dock requires replacement. Attempting to charge the sock via a direct USB-C cable will not work; it requires the specific magnetic dock for communication and proper voltage regulation.
