Diagnosis
This is typically caused by infrared (IR) light reflecting back into the lens. Sources include shiny surfaces, clear crib bumpers, or a window near the crib. It can also indicate a dirty IR lens cover.
How to Fix It
Reposition the camera. Angle it so it is not pointing directly at any reflective surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet away from the crib bars. Clean the ring of IR LEDs around the main lens with a dry microfiber cloth. Dust on the LEDs scatters the light.
If That Didn't Work
Manually toggle the night vision mode. In a dark room, cover the camera's light sensor with your finger for 5 seconds to force IR mode. Observe the image. Uncover it to switch back. If the image is clear during test, the camera's ambient light sensor may be faulty, causing it to partially engage IR mode.
Heads Up
A very small number of units have a manufacturing defect where the IR cut filter does not engage/disengage properly. This requires a hardware repair. Contact support with a video of the issue.
