DIAGNOSIS The infrared sensor that detects a full basket is either obstructed, misaligned, or faulty. It is located on the left interior wall of the ice chamber.
FIX Unplug the unit. Remove all ice. Clean the small, clear plastic sensor window on the left wall with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure no ice chips or condensation are blocking it. Verify the ice basket is seated fully against the back wall, directly in the sensor's path. Restart.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The sensor itself may have failed. The machine will default to a 13-minute cycle timer before a brief pause. You must manually monitor ice levels and pause the cycle when the basket is full.
HEADS UP Do not use a wet cloth on the sensor window, as water spots can interfere with the infrared beam. The sensor cannot detect ice if the basket is misaligned or overfilled on one side.
