DIAGNOSIS The ice full sensor is not activating. This infrared sensor, located near the ice chute, is likely obstructed or misaligned.
FIX Power off and unplug. Remove the ice basket. Locate the small infrared sensor window on the left or right interior wall of the ice drop area. Clean the sensor lens thoroughly with a dry, soft cotton swab. Remove any ice chips or dust. Ensure the ice basket is inserted correctly and sitting level on its rails.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The sensor may be faulty. Manually test by placing a full, opaque object (like a cup) directly in front of the sensor eye when the machine is running. If it still doesn't stop, the sensor circuit board connection is likely compromised.
HEADS UP An overflow condition can cause water to drip onto the compressor and electrical components, creating a shock hazard. Monitor the first few cycles after cleaning the sensor.
