the plastic smell from my new cosori air fryer won't go away, even after washing. help?

A plastic smell from the manufacturing process is normal at first, but you need to do a specific "test run" to burn it off. Let's walk through it.

  1. Make sure the basket is empty and plug in the air fryer.
  2. Press the PREHEAT button. The display will show 400°F and 4 minutes. Press Start/Pause to begin.
  3. When preheating is done, it will beep. Pull the basket out and let it cool for 4 minutes.
  4. Place the basket back in. Press the STEAK function button. It will show 450°F and 6 minutes.
  5. Press the Time button once to change the time to 5 minutes. Press Start/Pause to begin this 5-minute cook cycle.
  6. After it beeps, remove the basket and let it cool completely for 10-30 minutes. This should eliminate the smell.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the plastic smell is still strong after the test run, there may be a residue issue. Contact Cosori Customer Support.
