DIAGNOSIS Unresponsive capacitive touch buttons are often caused by a dirty control panel or a slightly recessed front panel.
FIX Power off and unplug. Clean the entire black control panel area with a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Dry thoroughly. Ensure no cleaning fluid seeps into the seams.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Remove the front panel. Check that the ribbon cable connector from the control panel to the mainboard is secure. Reattach the front panel, ensuring a flush fit.
HEADS UP Capacitive touch requires skin contact. They may not work with gloves or if your finger is very dry.
