the washer fills super slow, like it takes 20 minutes just to get enough water to start agitating.

DIAGNOSIS Extremely slow filling points to a restricted water inlet. The most common cause is clogged inlet screens inside the water valve where the hoses connect.

FIX Turn off both hot and cold water faucets behind the washer. Unscrew the fill hoses from the back of the machine. Use pliers to carefully remove the two small, circular plastic filter screens from the water valve ports on the washer. Clean the screens under running water, using a soft brush to remove mineral deposits and sediment. Reinsert the screens. Reconnect hoses and turn water back on.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The restriction could be in the household water hoses or faucets. Disconnect hoses from the faucets and check flow into a bucket. If flow is still poor, the hoses or faucet screens are clogged. Replace kinked or old hoses.

HEADS UP Do not operate the washer without these inlet screens. They prevent debris from entering the water valve. If a screen is damaged or lost, you must replace the entire water inlet valve assembly.
