Diagnosis
Complete power failure points to the main control board, door lock, or a blown thermal fuse. The door lock circuit must be closed for the control to receive power.
How to Fix It
First, unplug the washer for 2 minutes. Plug it back in. Listen for a click from the door lock within 5 seconds. No click indicates a failed lock or control. Check continuity on the door lock. If the lock is good, check the thermal fuse on the main control board for continuity.
If That Didn't Work
The main control board may have a failed power supply section. Verify 120V AC is present at the board's input terminals. No output voltage to the user interface confirms board failure.
Heads Up
The door lock is a common failure point. Replacement requires removing the top panel and front door frame to access the lock assembly.
