DIAGNOSIS Water is escaping from a internal seal or connection. Common sources are the water tank seal, the brewing unit seal, or the internal drip tray overflow.
FIX Follow this checklist. 1. Remove and re-seat the water tank, ensuring the silicone seal at its base is clean and intact. 2. Check the drip tray and used capsule container are correctly inserted and not overfull. 3. Inspect the black rubber seal on the brewing head (visible when head is open) for cuts, cracks, or coffee grounds. Clean it with a damp cloth. 4. Ensure the grey capsule puncture plate is securely clicked in place.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The leak may be from an internal hose connection. This often happens after descaling if a connection was loosened by vibration. Unplug the machine. Remove the rear cover (requires a Torx T10 screwdriver) and inspect for loose hose clamps or cracked tubes near the pump and thermoblock.
HEADS UP Do not operate a leaking machine. Water inside the electronics can cause a short circuit. Unplug it until the leak is identified and resolved.
