DIAGNOSIS The machine's internal pump is trying to work but cannot move water. This is almost always due to a clog in the system from scale or a blocked needle that pierces the capsule.
FIX First, perform a thorough cleaning of the capsule compartment. Remove the used capsule container and drip tray. Lift the lever to open the head. Use a damp cloth to wipe the capsule holder and the sealing ring. Then, use the provided pin tool (or a straightened paperclip) to gently clear the 4 exit holes in the capsule puncture plate. Run a water-only brewing cycle without a capsule to flush it.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The issue is likely a scaled-up thermoblock. You must run a descaling cycle as outlined in . If the clicking persists during descaling, the pump itself may have failed.
HEADS UP The clicking sound is the pump solenoid. Continuing to attempt brewing while it clicks can burn out the pump motor. Address the clog first.
