This usually happens if the robot didn't start its job from the charging station, or if the path back is blocked.
Here's what you need to do:
- Make sure the robot always starts its cleaning job from the charging station. The 'return to home' feature only works if it launched from there.
- To send it back manually, tap the HOME button. A blue light ring pattern means it's looking for the station.
- Check the area around the charging station. It needs to be clear of clutter for at least 1.5 feet on each side and 4 feet in front. Move any chairs, rugs, or toys.
- Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the station with a dry cloth. Dirt can break the connection.
If that didn't work: The robot's sensors might be dirty. Power it off by removing it from the station and holding the HOME button for 10 seconds. Then, wipe the cliff sensors and the sensor window on the bottom with a damp cloth. Don't spray anything directly on them.
Heads up: For best performance, keep your charging station plugged in all the time. The robot uses a small amount of power when docked to stay ready.
