The robot is designed for hard, sealed floors. Low-pile rugs or small thresholds can trap it.
- Use a Dual Mode Virtual Wall Barrier (sold separately) to block off areas with rugs or problematic transitions.
- For a quick clean of a small, rug-free area (about 3.3 ft²), use Spot Clean mode. Place the robot in the center of the space and press the SPOT Clean button.
- Ensure the robot's wheels are clean. Pull off any hair or debris wrapped around them.
If it's still getting stuck: Check the charging station placement. It must be at least 4 feet away from stairs. If it's too close to a step-down, the cliff sensors may cause erratic behavior. Also, make sure the pad is correctly attached. A misaligned pad can affect traction.
Heads up: The robot works best with the iRobot HOME App. You can create Keep Out Zones in the app's map to digitally block areas where it gets stuck.
