The PuroAir 240 is designed for indoor, dry locations only. Moisture from a shower can enter the electrical components and air intake, causing a short circuit, electric shock, or fire. It can also damage the filter and promote mold growth inside the unit, which would then be blown back into the air.
If you've used insecticides, aerosols, or strong cleaning chemicals like ethyl alcohol in the room, do not run the purifier immediately. Chemical residues can accumulate inside the unit and be discharged from the outlet. Ventilate the room thoroughly first by opening windows.
HEADS UP: Also keep the purifier away from direct sources of heat and out of environments with corrosive air or combustible materials. Always plug and unplug the unit with dry hands.
