The most common causes are an incorrect Wi-Fi band or disabled phone permissions. Fix this first.
- Wi-Fi Band: Your phone and purifier must be on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The 240 does not connect to 5GHz networks. Check your router settings.
- Phone Setup: On your smartphone, ensure both Bluetooth and Location Services are turned on before starting the app pairing process.
- Proximity: Keep your phone within 5 feet of the purifier during the Bluetooth pairing step.
- Enter Pairing Mode: On the purifier, press and hold the Wifi button for 3 seconds until the Wifi indicator light starts flashing.
- App Account: You must be logged into a personal PuroAir account in the app. A guest account will not work.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Restart everything. Power cycle the purifier, restart your phone, and reboot your Wi-Fi router. If it still fails, try forgetting your Wi-Fi network on your phone and reconnecting, or uninstall and reinstall the PuroAir app.
HEADS UP: Once connected, you can turn Location Services off on your phone. The purifier will stay connected to Wi-Fi even when powered off, as long as it remains plugged in.
