Diagnosis
This is almost always a failed thermal fuse or a tripped high-limit thermostat. They are safety devices that cut all power if the dryer overheats.
How to Fix It
Unplug the dryer. Access the rear panel. Locate the thermal fuse (a small white component with two wires) on the blower housing. Test it for continuity with a multimeter. If blown, replace it (part #5300100838). Also check the cycling thermostat nearby.
If That Didn't Work
A completely dead unit could be a failed main control board. But always rule out the thermal fuses and thermostats first. They are cheaper and more common.
Heads Up
A blown thermal fuse is a symptom. The root cause is usually a restricted vent system. You must clean the entire vent duct from the dryer to the outside wall before running it again.
