DIAGNOSIS A complete lack of power indicates a failure in the power supply circuit. The primary suspects are a blown thermal fuse or a disconnected internal wiring harness.
FIX 1. Unplug the unit. 2. Inspect the power cord for damage. Try a different, known-working cord if possible (standard IEC C13 type). 3. Check the household circuit breaker or GFCI outlet. 4. Plug the Instant Pot directly into a wall outlet. 5. Press and hold the ‘Keep Warm/Cancel’ button for 3 seconds to attempt a hard reset. Look for any display flicker.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit has likely experienced an internal fault, such as a tripped thermal fuse. This is not user-repairable. Contact Instant Pot customer support for warranty or repair options.
HEADS UP Do not attempt to open the base unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. A completely dead unit is almost always a hardware fault requiring professional attention.
