DIAGNOSIS The ‘C6’ or ‘C6H’ error code indicates an open circuit in the main temperature sensor. This is a fault with the internal sensor or its wiring.
FIX 1. Unplug the Instant Pot from the wall outlet. 2. Let it cool completely if it was recently used. 3. Check the inner pot is correctly seated and making full contact with the heating element. Ensure it is not warped. 4. Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or extension cord. 5. Press ‘Keep Warm/Cancel’ to clear the error. 6. Try a simple test: add 3 cups of water, close lid, set valve to ‘Sealing’, select ‘Manual’ for 1 minute.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The sensor is likely faulty and requires professional service. This error code is a hardware fault. Contact Instant Pot customer support.
HEADS UP Do not attempt to disassemble the base unit. The ‘C6’ error is not user-serviceable. Warranty may apply.
