Yeah, some noise is normal—it's a mechanical process. The clicking is probably the ice tray tilting backwards to drain water, then the ice shovel pushing cubes into the basket. The gurgling is water being pumped.
An ice-making cycle takes 7 to 15 minutes. The sequence is: pump fills the ice tray, ice forms on the evaporator for 7-15 min, tray tilts (click), water drains back (gurgle), ice drops and is pushed forward (click), tray resets.
If that didn't work, and the noise is a loud grinding or buzzing, check placement. The unit must be on a dry, level surface. An incline over 45° can cause the compressor to operate incorrectly. Let it sit upright for 2 hours if it was moved.
Heads up: Never touch the evaporator (the cold metal part) during operation—risk of frostbite.
