The ADD WATER indicator triggers for three specific reasons.
- Low water level: Check the MAX water level mark. Do not fill above it.
- Blocked water screen: The screen at the bottom of the water reservoir is clogged. You need to clean it.
- Pump malfunction: This requires service.
First, stop the ice-making cycle by pressing the ON/OFF key. Unplug the unit. Remove the ice basket. Inspect and clean the bottom of the water reservoir, especially the intake screen. Reassemble, plug in, and press ON/OFF to restart.
If that didn't work, and the water screen is clear, the pump is likely faulty. This unit must be sent to an authorized service department for repair. Do not attempt to disassemble it.
