The infrared sensor is blocked or faulty. First, remove all ice from the basket. About 5 seconds later, it should restart automatically. If the light stays on, the sensor eyes (infrared light-emitting diode & light-receiving diode) are dirty or obstructed.
- Unplug the appliance.
- Wipe any foreign objects or ice chips off the sensor diodes inside the unit.
- Plug it back in and restart.
If that didn't work, check for sunlight interference. The ICE FULL condition can't be detected if the infrared module is exposed to direct sunlight. Unplug it, move it to a spot not in sunlight, plug it in, and activate it again.
If the light is still on with an empty basket and no sunlight, the sensor diodes are defective. You need to call Customer Service at 1-800-968-9853.
