how do i clean the lens on my floodlight cam pro? it's all blurry from spider webs and dirt.

— asked by Casey

DIAGNOSIS Dirt, dust, and spider webs on the camera lens and the radar dome severely degrade video quality and motion detection accuracy.

FIX Power down the unit at the circuit breaker for safety, then use a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

  • Turn OFF the power at your home's breaker box.
  • Gently wipe the clear camera lens cover (the central circle) and the smaller, smooth radar dome below it with the dry cloth.
  • For stubborn spots, slightly dampen a corner of the cloth with distilled water only. Do not spray liquid directly on the device.
  • Ensure both surfaces are completely dry before restoring power.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If haze persists on the inside of the lens, it's likely condensation from a failed seal. This requires a warranty replacement—contact Ring Support.

HEADS UP Never use window cleaners, compressed air, abrasive cloths, or solvents. They can permanently damage the anti-reflective coatings on the lens and radar dome. A yearly gentle cleaning is part of necessary maintenance.
