Diagnosis
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is a non-WiFi model, meaning its scheduling relies entirely on an internal analog clock and the infrared (IR) receiver. When a schedule fails to trigger, the root cause is almost always a "clock drift" or a failure to lock in the time setting before attempting to program the cleaning cycle. Because there is no cloud synchronization, the vacuum does not know the current time unless it is manually calibrated; if the clock is off by even a few minutes, the scheduled start time will never align with the real-world time. Furthermore, the 11S requires a specific "confirmation" sequence to save settings to its volatile memory. If you simply set the time and put the remote away without pressing the final confirmation button, the vacuum reverts to its default state (00:00). You can confirm if the clock is active by pressing the "CLOCK" button once; if the display shows a time that doesn't match your watch, or if it shows 12:00, the schedule will not execute.
How to Fix It
Follow these exact steps in this specific order to ensure the schedule is locked into the hardware:
- Flip the RoboVac 11S over and ensure the main power switch is toggled to the "ON" position. If the switch is off, the internal clock resets every time the unit is moved.
- Place the vacuum on the charging dock and ensure it is fully charged. Scheduling can fail if the battery is below 20%.
- Press the CLOCK button on the remote. The display on the remote will begin to blink.
- Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to adjust the hour. Pay close attention to the AM/PM indicator on the remote screen; if this is incorrect, the vacuum will attempt to clean 12 hours off-schedule.
- Press the CLOCK button again to switch to the minute setting. Use the arrows to set the exact minute.
- Press the CLOCK button one final time to save the time. You must hear a single confirmation beep from the vacuum itself to know the setting was accepted.
- To set the schedule, press the SCHEDULE button. The display will blink.
- Use the arrow buttons to select your desired start time.
- Press the SCHEDULE button again to lock in the time. The vacuum will beep once. The remote screen will now show the scheduled time, and the vacuum is now programmed to start automatically every 24 hours at that precise moment.
If That Didn't Work
- Check for IR Interference: Ensure the vacuum is not parked in a spot where direct sunlight or bright fluorescent lighting is hitting the IR receiver window. Strong light can "jam" the signal, meaning the vacuum never actually received the schedule command even if the remote looked like it worked.
- Perform a Hard Power Cycle: Turn the bottom power switch to OFF for 60 seconds, then turn it back ON. This clears the temporary cache and allows you to re-enter the clock and schedule settings from a clean slate.
- Test the Remote Batteries: If the remote screen is dim, it may have enough power to show the numbers but not enough to send the high-frequency IR signal required to save the setting to the vacuum's memory. Replace the CR2025 battery.
- Verify Dock Placement: Ensure the vacuum is perfectly seated on the charging pins. If the vacuum loses connection with the dock, it may enter a "sleep" mode that prevents the scheduled timer from triggering the motor.
Heads Up
- The RoboVac 11S does not have a "days of the week" setting; once a schedule is set, it will run every single day at that time.
- If you manually start a cleaning cycle using the "CLEAN" button shortly before a scheduled time, the vacuum may skip the scheduled run to avoid redundancy.
- Avoid placing the vacuum on thick rugs when scheduling; if the vacuum is "high-centered" on a rug while on the dock, it may fail to launch the scheduled program.
- Remember that any time the main power switch on the bottom is flipped to OFF, your clock and schedule settings are completely wiped and must be reprogrammed.
