Odor means bacteria or residue. Clean the tank and drip tray.
- Empty and rinse: Remove the tank from the robot. Empty any leftover solution or water.
- Clean the tank: Fill the tank with warm water (not boiling). Close the cap and lightly shake it. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as necessary. Let it air dry completely before refilling.
- Clean the drip tray: Lift the drip tray off the charging station. Clean it with a damp cloth or wash it with warm water in a sink. Dry it thoroughly before snapping it back onto the charging station.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the smell persists, you might be using the wrong cleaning solution. Only use Braava jet Hard Floor Cleaning Solution. Do not use other cleaners. Use 6 capfuls (half the bottle) per tank.
PREVENTION: Use a new pad for each cleaning job, and don't pre-wet the pads. After a job, empty and rinse the tank if you won't be using it for a while.
