Diagnosis
The automated cleaning cycle is aborting. This is typically because the water tank is not full enough, the drip tray is full, or the cleaning disc isn't properly seated.
How to Fix It
Ensure the water tank is filled to the MAX line. Empty and dry the drip tray and its sensor reservoir completely. Insert a blank cleaning disc (not a filter) and a tablet into the portafilter, lock it in tightly, and start the cleaning cycle via the menu.
If That Didn't Work
The flow meter may be detecting insufficient water flow due to scale. You may need to run a descaling cycle first before the cleaning cycle will complete successfully.
Heads Up
Never use a single-wall (non-pressurized) filter basket with the cleaning disc—it must be the double-wall (pressurized) basket that came with the machine for the cycle to work.
