just got my cosori turboblaze and it smells like plastic when it heats up. is this safe?

A plastic smell during the first few uses is normal. It's from the manufacturing process. Here's how to get rid of it.

  1. Make sure the basket is empty and plug in the air fryer.
  2. Tap the FRY function. The display will show 195°C and 10 minutes.
  3. Tap Start/Pause to begin the cycle. Let it run completely until it beeps and shows "End."
  4. Let the unit cool completely, then wipe the inside with a slightly moist, non-abrasive cloth.

If that didn't work: If the plastic smell is still strong after a couple of empty cycles, it's best to stop using it and contact Cosori Customer Support.

Heads up: Always operate the air fryer in a well-ventilated area, and leave 5 inches (13 cm) of space behind and above it for airflow.
