Diagnosis
The solid red status light means the hub has a network or server connection failure. It's booted up, but it can't reach the Aqara servers to complete its setup or maintain a link.
How to Fix It
Unplug the hub for 30 seconds and plug it back in. While it's rebooting, restart your home router and modem. Once everything's back up, the red light should blink as it tries to connect and then turn solid white if successful. If it goes red again, check your router's settings. This hub is picky about certain firewall or security settings, especially on mesh networks. Try temporarily disabling any client isolation or AP isolation features.
If That Didn't Work
Your internet provider or network might be blocking the specific ports or servers the Aqara hub uses. It requires outbound TCP ports 80, 443, and 9933 to be open. You can't change this on the hub; it's a network-level issue.
Heads Up
A solid red light during the initial setup usually points to an issue with your phone's connection during the QR code scan phase. Make sure your phone is on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network you're trying to connect the hub to, not your 5GHz band.
