How to Fix It
To resolve the flow issue, you must adjust the grinder settings and clear any existing blockages. Follow these precise steps:
- Clear the Current Blockage: Turn the machine off and unplug it. Open the service door on the right side. Press the two red release buttons to remove the brew group. Rinse it thoroughly under warm running water to remove all old coffee grounds and oils. Do not use soap. Reinsert it and lock it back into place.
- Adjust the Grinder Dial: Locate the adjustment dial inside the bean hopper. CRITICAL: You must only turn this dial while the grinder is actively running. If you turn it while the machine is idle, you risk stripping the plastic gears.
- Set to Coarser: Start a coffee brew cycle. While the grinder is humming, rotate the dial one notch toward the larger number (clockwise). Do not jump several notches at once; move it one click at a time.

- Purge the System: Run one cycle of hot water through the steam wand to clear any air bubbles from the pump before attempting another coffee brew.

If the O-rings are dry or cracked, air leaks can prevent the pump from building enough pressure to push water through. Apply a small amount of food-grade silicone grease to the piston seals to ensure a tight vacuum seal.
- Check for "Oily" Beans: If you are using dark-roasted, oily beans, the oils can clump together in the grinder, creating a "plug" of coffee that blocks the chute. Empty the bean hopper, vacuum out any oily residue, and switch to a medium-roast bean with a matte finish to see if the flow improves.
- Inspect the Water Filter: If you have a water filter installed in the tank, remove it entirely and try brewing. A saturated or clogged filter can significantly drop the water pressure, making it impossible for the machine to push through a fine grind.
